Hot Liquor Tank
The Hot Liquor Tank is one of the most important pieces of equipment in an all
grain brewing system. Having hot water at your disposal during the various
stages of the process is very valuable.
To accomplish this, we have designed the Brewmation H.L.T. This fully
automatic, electric hot liquor tank will heat up to 11 or 18 gallons of liquor to
strike temperature (mash-in temperature) in 1/2 hr using it's 6000 watts of
power.
Using the incorporated LOVE temperature controller, you can set your
temperature and the water will heat to that temperature and keep it there until
you are ready to use it.
For example: The Brewmation HLT will begin heating and reach mash-in
temperature and hold it there until you are ready with your grains at which point
you will drain the liquor to the mash tun. A new set point can then be entered to
reach sparge temperature.
If you would like to heat the water to a high temperature for step mashing
additions, it is no problem. Simply program the temperature and the
Brewmation HLT will take care of the rest.
The tank is built using polypropylene allowing water temperatures up to 200
degrees Fahrenheit.
A safety float switch is incorporated to prevent the heaters from running dry.
The simple CPVC ball valve makes draining your liquor for mash-in, steps, or
sparging simple. The 1/2" barbed fitting can be removed to add any external
pumps, flow valves etc., by utilizing the 1/2" NPT thread.
The control panel consists of the LOVE temperature controller connected to the
Brewmation temperature probe to monitor and maintain temperature.
